What do you do at meetings?: Raise awareness about current events and controversial issues, such as abortion, predjudice, racism, and discrimination.

Benefits?: Making changes for HHS, inspiring awareness, and making your peers think about interesting issues.

How often do you meet? When?: Every monday during lunch A.

What do you do at meetings?: Collect monet through fundraisers to create the “Literary Cafe.” Also, club members take part in interactive creating writing activities.

Any requirements?: Imagination, and a sense of humor. Members also need dedication and a passion for writing.

Benefits?: Peer comments and criticism that help students grow not only as a writer but as a person.

What do you do at meetings? We help plan prom and raise money.

Community service, helping others, and meeting new people are just a few of the benefits.

 

What do you do?

Every meeting is started with a prayer, then the group gets into various committees. These committees provide support for projects such as feeding children in Africa, helping the homeless, and Project Eco. Also, members of the club bond with each other by playing games.

 

Basic overview:

This club was started by Holly Hemmer and Kelsey Sweetman as a way to bring together students who share similar morals and beliefs. Although it is a religious club, you don’t have to be religious to join. The club was designed to be encouragement to keep faith alive among students in high school.

To be in Foreign Language Club, students must share a love of languages and be willing to become more informed about cultures.

 

Benefits?

Learn about different cultures and languages. Gain leadership skills through holding an office. Learn how to plan for big events.

 

What do you do?

During lunch, the club plans celebrations, which take place after school. They also make power points about the history of the holidays that will be celebrated in the club. The club spends time watching movies in other languages.

Key club is a service organization dedicated to helping others. Some projects include the food drive, UNICEF, Spring Baskets for Calvert Memorial Hospital and the Kiss A Senior Goodbye fundraiser.
